Activity

At the kick-off meeting we discussed giving your body 2 days rest from the cardio/strength activities. Is there a downside to 7 days of these activities (alternating cardio and strength)? Other sources recommend a minimum of 30 minutes daily physical activity, 7 days a week. Is this recommendation for something other than cardio or strength on the other 2 days? Thanks.

  1. That's a great question for Sharon. She mentioned something to me about allowing your body to fully hydrate and recover, but I'm sure she can explain the "science" behind it all.

  2. You are going to hear different answers from different sources. My advice would be to listen to your body. If it feels like too much, take a day or two off. If it feels like not enough, do some more.

  3. I sent this question to Sharon and here is her reply: "You will get more out of 5 workouts a week, and making those workouts longer than 30 min (closer to an hour)." Sharon's my guide and I will definitely follow her advice :-) Thanks everyone for your comments!
